Kudo Shinichi/Edogawa Conan ~ Shinichi is at first 17 but later 7 after he swallowed the druck black organisation gave him. He's sharp and famous of his brains and gift to solve many kind of hard cases. He has black hair and blue eyes and he uses fake glasses as a child.

Ran does karate and is police and lawyer's daughter. She's black long hair and a weird horn on her forehead (it's her hair).

Hattori Heiji ~ Heiji is also a teenager detective like Shinichi/Conan. He's also said to be his rival. The boy lives in Osaka and knows Conan's secret and is always trying to help him. He's also quite lively person. Heiji has dark skin and black hair.

So what makes it worth to read?
It's actually been a long time since I last read this serie. But I had to share this one with you because it's one of the first mangas that I have ever read and it's also one of those that I've ever liked this much. I started to read this actually only because it was "cool" back then to read manga (then everyone started to hate manga and only few continued reading it... I was one of those). That's the reason why I started to like this manga. Maybe it was becuase this was a little different from the very first one that I've ever read (it was shoujo) and I actually like detective stories.
So one plus goes to that fact this is a detective story. It's amazing to read how smart people come to conclusion of who's the murderer. I found it quite addicting. Even though romance or other scences with personal emotions happens rarely, it makes it only more interesting. When you're already tired of reading of of countless cases and numerous long explanations, something interesting actually happens between Ran and Conan or Heiji comes around. Or Shinichi's parents. They are quite cool people. Only thing you need with this manga is long patience. When you've read this and so on, something always happens. And if you like anime more, I can recommend anime version of this. It's actually great and the openings are cool too. That's one of the reasons you should watch it.
But don't get me wrong. This manga isn't that boring with these cases. It's amazing how the mangaka has come up with these ideas and so on. So you really should read this manga for that reason if you're interested in this kind of mystery things. Also you can find from this manga many ghost stories. So it's worth to read even without any romance scenes. I'm just a girl and hungry for romance. x')

WARNING! In this trailer the meaning changes a little. x') Don't mind that. You'll get the mainpoint anyway. Plus there might be some spoilers.
